[ time capsule ]

so, a new millennium is upon vosim and dee!! vosim came up with the idea to create a little time capsule for them to open in the year 2020.
the idea spawned from vosim finding an old cake tin while he was cleaning out his kitchen. he thought it'd be the perfect size to make a time capsule, but he needed help with it. lucky for him, he knew a someone who could help...

vosim: hey dee, check out what i'm workin' on!!
dee: oh?? what's this...?? :O
vosim: it's a... uh, whatsit called...
vosim: a- a time capsule, yes!!! i was wonderin' if y-you wanted to, like, put anythin' in it?? w-we can decorate it together as well!!
dee: vosim, that sounds really fun!! i've heard about these!! of course i'll put some things in it!! let me just find some things...
vosim: oh- that's... that's great!!! d-don't put too many things in the capsule, it's only a small one...

while dee was finding things, vosim was considering on putting in a tape he had recorded a few weeks prior.
he thought it'd be cool to ask his future self some questions & show his future self some things he liked.

dee: o-okay!! i got some stuff: some old books, a few of the pokemon doodles you helped me draw... i even managed to find a clump of snowball's fur!!...
dee: ...vosim?? sugar, what's that you're holdin'???
vosim: i... i want to put this tape in... do you think i should???
dee: well, what's on it??
vosim: dee, do y-you remember when i, uh... i snatched the camcorder off you???
vosim: th-that was because i wanted to film somethin' that will be very important in the future.
dee: hmm...?? :O
vosim: i- i recorded myself askin' questions to my future self... i- i thought it'd be a fun little thing for me to do in the future!! y-yeah...
vosim: besides, uh, who knows what the future'll be like, hm?? w-we might have flyin' cars and hoverboards, maybe a robot uprising?? that'd be cool...
dee: oh my god, yes!! but... can i watch it...?? i'd love to see what you came up with... :O
vosim: ...
vosim: naaaah. you have to wait. it'd r-ruin the surprise, you know!! ;-)
dee: c'mon!!!!! now you're makin' me curious!! don't make me pry that tape off your hands, vosim!! >:3
vosim: i'd like to see you try. ;-)
vosim: b-but seriously... i- i don't want the surprise to be ruined, because... if i'm still friends with everyone in the office, i'd love to watch it with them...!!!
vosim: i mean, that is, if the office we work at is still a thing in the year 2020... that company's being held together by duct-tape, apparently...
dee: hmm... wait.
dee: so, i have to wait 20 years to watch this??
vosim: mhm. you be patient.
dee: oh, alright. :(
vosim: i-it'll be worth it... trust me...
dee: yeah... i guess... h-hey!! you said we can decorate the cake tin??
vosim: oh, yes!! the stuff's all in here!! paint pens, glitter pens, crayons, e-even some glitter and star sequins we can use!!
vosim: th-there's also some colored card in here, some colored tissue paper - everythin' in here...!!!
dee: that sounds wonderful!! let's do that right now!!!

and so they did. they decorated the living hell out of the cake tin. it turned out a little ugly, but it would suffice.
skip forward to the afternoon of december 31st - they're outside in their backyard, ready to bury their own time capsule.

dee: right, hole's dug, vosim!! have you got the time capsule??
vosim: yes, yes- it's right here!! i'm comin', dee!!!
dee: i thought to dig the hole by that cherry tree that you love to sit by!! that way, we'd know where it is!!
vosim: oh, okay.....
vosim: hmm... ;__;
dee: hm?? you feelin' okay??
vosim: i h-hope the tape ends up okay... i wouldn't want it to get damaged, that'd- that'd ruin everythin'... ;__:
dee: i'm sure it'll be fine!! besides... you wrapped the capsule in a lot of bubble wrap!! i think it'd be safe enough, dontcha think?? :3
vosim: y-yeah... i guess...
dee: right, sweetie, you pop it down into the hole, okay??...
dee: ...sweetie??
vosim: *talking to the time capsule* i-i'm gonna miss you, mr time capsule... we'll see each other again soon, okay??
dee: aww, i love how you're givin' the time capsule your little goodbyes... :3
vosim: i don't want it to feel lonely... ;__;
dee: it won't feel lonely, it's got a cherry tree it can talk to!!
vosim: y-yeah...
dee: alright, pop it down, now...
vosim: o-okay... ooh... goodbye mr time capsule... ;__;

vosim gently placed the capsule down into the hole, and dee started to bury it. vosim did get a lil emotional over it, but it was okay.
now... the waiting game begins.
